Caves of Wonders is the controller for the personal data described in this policy. We collect and use only the information needed to operate the service, provide the plan you choose, and improve our website when you consent to analytics. We do not sell or rent your personal data.

- Account details: your email address, used to identify your account and license.
- License information: the plan you own and its status, so we can unlock the right features.
- Payment confirmation: a record that a payment succeeded. Card details are handled entirely by our payment processor — we never see or store them.
- Fleet content data: if you use Fleet sync, your Caves, Chests, bookmarks (including imported bookmarks), tags, assigned tags, custom images, and user settings are stored so they can sync across your devices. Your protected-content password is included in encrypted form.
- Website analytics data: if you accept analytics, Google Analytics receives information about your use of the website, such as pages viewed, browser and device information, and online identifiers.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use account, license, payment-confirmation, and Fleet content data to provide the service you request, including cloud sync when you enable Fleet. We use payment records where needed to meet legal and tax obligations. We use website analytics only with your consent, to understand and improve the website. We also use information you send through our contact form to respond to your request.
4. Legal Bases
We process account, license, payment-confirmation, and Fleet content data as necessary to provide the service and perform our agreement with you. We process records that we must keep for legal obligations where applicable. We use Google Analytics only when you consent, and you can choose not to consent.
5. Where Your Data Is Stored
Our account and Fleet service data is stored and processed on servers located in the United Kingdom. If you accept Google Analytics, Google may process website analytics data outside the UK. We use Google only after consent and rely on the safeguards it provides for those transfers.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell or rent your data. We use service providers needed to operate the service, including our payment provider and service-hosting providers. If you accept analytics, we also use Google Analytics. These providers receive only the information needed for their role.
7. Data Retention
We keep account data while your account is active. After a Fleet subscription expires, we retain the Fleet cloud copy for 30 days so you can renew and restore access; after that period, it is permanently deleted. If you close your account, we delete personal data within a reasonable period, except for records we must keep by law, such as payment receipts for tax purposes.
8. Your Rights
You may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of your personal data. To exercise your rights, or to withdraw analytics consent, please get in touch via our contact form. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
9. Cookies and Tracking
The Caves of Wonders extension does not use advertising cookies or third-party trackers. The website stores your analytics preference locally so it can remember your choice. We load Google Analytics only after you select Accept analytics in the consent banner. Select Reject to continue without Google Analytics; you can withdraw a previous choice by contacting us.

Protecting your data is a priority for us, and we take it seriously. We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to keep your information safe and are continually working to strengthen them. While no method of transmission or storage can ever be guaranteed completely secure, we are committed to safeguarding your data to the best of our ability.
11. Children's Privacy
Caves of Wonders is not directed at individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
